"Memory" 30th March 2020

First and foremost I will always remember hearing of Jackie's dedication to her family. Early on in school days at Trent we quickly realised just how essential Jackie was to George's day-to-day life, which, as teenage boys trying to be cool, we took pleasure in ribbing George about whenever possible. Many of the stories about Jackie that I can recall involved her time at the stables with George or the other people down there. I'm sure she will be greatly missed by all. One story that sticks out in particular is the time she pretended to drive her car towards a boy walking down the driveway at the stables as a bit of a joke, you know the old, "I'm going to run you over...not really" joke, we've all done it. However she had forgotten that this young man had apparently only just started going out in public again following a recent bout of agoraphobia, so perhaps not the best timing for that prank! Nevertheless it will always give me a chuckle when I think of it. I will also never forget her legendary Salmon Pinwheels, even though I never tried one! I know how difficult it must be for you all at this time and present a strange blend of emotions. However, I hope you can take comfort in the memories of the good times you shared with each other. My sympathies and love, from Jon. Jon Wall
