"Memory" 30th March 2020

I have such lovely memories of Jackie. I spent a lot of time at Clare’s house when I was younger and I always loved going there. It was such a warm and happy place to be and Jackie always treated me like another member of the family. She was so relaxed and lovely to be around. When I was about 15 or 16 I went on holiday with Clare and Emma’s families and had a brilliant time. I remember Jackie letting Clare and I choose a cocktail or two with dinner which I remember thinking was very cool for a mum!! We went on so many fun days out and Jackie was always happy and adventurous. Obviously as we grew older I saw less and less of Jackie but whenever I did see her she always had a hug and a smile for me. I really enjoyed her company as an adult and I could sit and easily chat to her for ages. She was a glamorous, generous, warm and funny woman who loved her family more than anything in the world. She was so proud of Clare and George and she adored Max and Edie. I will always remember Jackie as strong and proud and a brilliant mum whose family were everything to her. I cannot put into words how sorry I am that her family has lost her so suddenly. They know that I am sending them all my love. Love Jane xxxx Jane Wren (Gillespie)
